Frequently asked questions

Got questions about the structured training plans? Find answers on personalisation, delivery, TrainingPeaks setup, and more.

Your Plan
Is the training plan personalised to me?

Yes. After purchase you'll receive a link to my Athlete Questionnaire, which covers your current fitness, training history, goals, weekly schedule, preferences, and available equipment. I build the training plan from that — nothing is copied from a template.

How much does a training plan cost?

Training plans start from £99 for a 4 week plan, £169 for an 8 week plan, and £229 for a 12 week plan. All plans include the Athlete Questionnaire, a fully personalised training plan delivered via TrainingPeaks, and setup support.

What's the difference between the 4, 8, and 12 week training plans?

The 4 week plan is best for a targeted block — a specific event, a fitness test, or getting back into structure. The 8 and 12 week plans allow for proper periodisation: building a base, developing specific fitness, then peaking. The longer the plan, the more your physiology can actually change.

What if my schedule changes mid-plan?

Life happens. If something comes up, get in touch via email and I'll give you some straightforward advice on how to adapt. If you need the training plan formally revised, I offer a plan adjustment service for £39.

How much time do I need to train each week?

That's entirely up to you. The Athlete Questionnaire asks how many hours and sessions per week you have available, and I build the training plan around that. Whether you have 3 hours a week or 15, the training plan will work with your schedule — not against it.

Do you offer ongoing coaching?

Not currently. These are structured training plans — expertly built, fully personalised, but self-directed. If you have questions after purchase, you can contact me directly and I will be happy to answer them.

Delivery & Setup
Is this just a PDF training plan?

No. Your training plan is built and delivered inside TrainingPeaks — sessions are fully structured workouts with warm-up, intervals, and cool-down, all set to specific intensity zones. It syncs directly to your training platform — Zwift, Garmin, and other devices — so your targets show up automatically on your screen when you train. No spreadsheets, no guesswork.

How is the training plan delivered?

Via TrainingPeaks, which syncs directly with your training platform, including Zwift and other devices (e.g. Garmin). I will also send you a PDF screenshot of your training plan. I will email you to let you know when your training plan is ready.

I've never used TrainingPeaks — is it complicated?

Not at all. TrainingPeaks has a free version which is all you need to access your training plan. Once you've purchased, I'll help you get up and running before your training plan arrives.

How long until I receive my training plan?

After purchase you'll receive a link to my Athlete Questionnaire. Once you've completed it, I'll build your training plan and deliver it via TrainingPeaks within 5 working days.

Is This For Me?
What level of athlete is this for?

All levels — from beginners building a fitness base for the first time, through to competitive club athletes and well-trained athletes looking to optimise their training. Every training plan is built around your current fitness and goals, so the starting point doesn't matter.

Do I need a power meter or a PM5 monitor?

No. I'm flexible and plans can be built around heart rate or perceived effort. If you're a cyclist with a power meter, or a rower with a PM5-equipped erg, I'll use that data — but it's not a requirement.

Do I need to be on Zwift or a specific erg?

No. The plans are designed to work with whatever you're training on — Zwift, any indoor trainer, a Concept2 or other rowing ergometer, or outdoors on the bike or water. Sessions are structured by intensity zones, not platform.
